Start with one small change

It can seem like a mountain to climb when you want to make big changes in your life. You've made the first step...you've decided you want to live healthier. You want to ditch the take-aways and the ready meals. You want to stop drinking so much alcohol and drink more water instead. You want to lose weight and you want to give up smoking.


It is too much to expect yourself to change everything. Why not start with changing just one thing? How about filling a 1.5L bottle of water and drinking it throughout the day? When you've managed this for a month, why not try drinking two instead of five coffees a day and finishing them at lunchtime and not just before bed when they can affect the way you sleep?

By taking small steps, we can achieve big things. Life is stressful and we end up making poor choices when we have little time. The most important thing is not to beat ourselves up if we don't achieve our goals. The fact that we want to make changes is the most important thing.
